Class Library
To inculcate reading habits amongst students and for easy access and a sense of belonging, classes I to V are equipped with a class library. It is maintained and updated from time to time by students themselves. At the initiative of the school Principal Dr. Anuradha Mehta, the school library, have been remodelled to make them more effective and conducive to work environment.
Principal’s dream project of giving a complete new look to school library was realized recently. After a total make-over, the Library is finally ready with a welcoming disposition that offers an unprecedented charm to attract its final users – the students and the teachers! It was inaugurated by a distinguished gathering of founder-trustees and members of General Body and the Governing Body of Shri R. R. Mehta Educational Trust on March 11, 2018 after performing ‘Arti’ and lighting of the ceremonial lamp. They were awe-struck with its ambience. The dominance of white on walls and book racks not only confers purity, serenity and quietness associated with the hallmark of a library –‘silence’ but also makes it appear more spacious and expansive . The arrangement of its soul - the books, is indeed stunning. Eye-catchingly displayed sections subject-wise, they seem to cast a magnetizing effect on the visitors, compelling them to hold and glance through these books, with an immediate urge to absorb their content! The comfortable new-look furniture offers undisturbed concentration for better focus while ceiling lights illumine “reading”. Floor has been made sound proof. Two sections of ‘new arrivals” separately of books and periodicals attract immediate attention. To keep the sanctity of this learning-abode intact, students would enter the library without shoes. Electronic digital board to get quick access to ‘what is where’ is soon to be displayed at the entry.
