FRENCH COMPETITION ORGANISED BY: RACHNA SAGAR PVT. LTD.
On July 14, 2020, on the occasion of French National Day ( LE QUATORZE JUILLET), 40 French students from Classes VI- X of Red Roses Public School, Saket participated in the Online French competition “Culture par concours” organized by RachnaSagar Pvt. Ltd. There were various activites like French poem, passage on French personality, French songs etc.
The activities were divided into 3 groups :
- Group 1 ( Débutant)
- Group 2 (Intermédiat)
- Group 3 (Avancé) The students performed with enthusiasm and zeal and sent their videos. Top 3 Winners were declared from each group.

FRENCH EVENT (November 29,2018)
The French-studying students of classes VI to X of Red Roses Public School, Saket had a unique experience of a workshop on ‘Comic Heroes’ by Yann Dégruel - an illustrator from France who was in India to celebrate Bookaro festival. Accompanied by Arabella Seebaluck, Deputy of the Head of Communication and Jatinder Singh, Deputy for Cooperation in Education from the Embassy of France, the trio was felicitated by the President of the school Trust and Principal Dr. Anuradha Mehta. Students welcomed them by singing ‘Bienvenue – le frère’. They thoroughly enjoyed the activities done in the workshop and learnt how to give expressions and detailing to the comic characters. The workshop concluded with National Anthem of France ‘La Marseillaise’ followed by the Indian National Anthem.

‘RED ROSES’ HONOURS BUDDING ARTISTS
Red Roses Public School, Saket observed the birth centenary of Pt. Deendayal Upadhayay by organizing speeches on his life and achievements, poetry recitation and fancy dress. Narrating his famous quotes, “ Human nature has both tendencies- anger and greed on the one hand and love and sacrifice on the other” and “It is essential that we think about our national identity without which independence has no meaning”, students touched upon the struggle faced by him as he lost both his parents by the age of seven; scholarships won for excellence in academics; his exemplary life of simplicity and honesty with selfless service to the country; his belief in integral humanism and self-governance; and also the noble soul’s death at the age of 55 under mysterious circumstances.
Inspired by his morality and personal integrity, Viplav Panghal of class VIII recited a self-composed poem. Another poem on patriotism was recited by Sakshi Tyagi of the same class. Students of classes VII & VIII participated in Fancy dress and briefed the assembly about the contributions of Jhansi Ki Rani, Bhagat Singh, Annie Besant, Sarojini Naidu, BR Ambedkar, Mahatma Gandhi, Pt. Nehru and Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya.
International Literacy Day Celebration
Red Roses Public School, Saket celebrated International Literacy Day on September 8. Enlightening the assembly on its importance, Commerce faculty member Ms. Pratibha informed that September 8 was declared as such by UNESCO as early as November 17, 1965. It is an occasion to reflect on the ways to counter the challenges faced for promotion of literacy as an integral part of lifelong learning. Digital literacy being the theme for this year, a global event is being organized at UNESCO’s Headquarters at Paris knowing that 750 million adults and 264 million children still lack basic literacy skills.
“Saksham-Sarankshan Kshamta Mahotsav, 2017” (Conservation of Coal and Petroleum)
The School celebrated the week on 3rd and 4th February,2017 under the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Peroleum & Natural Gas and coordinated by Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA). While the demand for petroleum products is increasing day by day, their efficient and optimal use has become a great concern. With this view a number of activities were oragnised in the school of aimed at intensifying efforts to make students, teachers and other support staff aware about the need, issues, problems and solutions associated with the use of petroleum products. The Activities were;
Essay writing Competition – Was organised on the topic “Conservation of Petroleum Products- Benefits of LPG/CNG” in School Library.Students of classes VII and VIII participated by pening down benefits of conservation and preference of clean fuel over liquid or solid fuels . They explained the efficient ways of utilizing the available energy resources and at the same time suggested a few tips to save those for future generation.
Training Programme for Drivers, Helpers and Kitchen staff - Was organised in amphitheatre giving them the fuel saving tips and safety measures associated with the usage of CNG and LPG. The President of the trust also enlighted staff and students with some useful tips. Students from IX Class interviewed the participants about various fuel saving tips as well as LPG cylinders.
Poster making competition - Was organised on the topic “Conservation of Coal and Petroleum” in art room. Students of classes V to VIII creatively painted their ideas showing the need for conservation of fuels with brushes dipped in colours and hues.
